This unique pair of Remington & Sherman vault security gates remained locked while the main Vault doors were open. They are a part of an old Pittsfield, Mass. Records& Safety Deposit Box vault. These 28\" X 78\" X 2\" (one is 30\" wide);heavy metal gates are simple yet elegant and extremely strong-weighing in at approx. 150lbs each. There is a bit of surface rust on them--one more than the other--but the metal is still in great shape -no bends nor dents. Would restore/refinish beautifully with right products and a bit of TLC. These heavy duty(note: photo of hinges) historic gates would be perfect for your gun collection(especially in today\'s political atmosphere), wine cellar-your own personal vault. ; These are not your run-of-the-mill security gates that you\'d ;get at Home Depot.;They are very well made with the intent to keep out the \'bad\' and keep in the \'goods\'. They are located in the cellar of an 1890s\' bldg. but just a hallway away from the elevator and to street level---no hauling up stairs etc.;Buyer responsible for pick-up. ;Needed: two strong people-large screwdriver- rolling cart(I have one) but if you can bring one with 4 large wheels that roll smoothly that would be great, a van/pick-up truck, and time to get to the Berkshires .
