WHITE (Family) ROTARY SEWING MACHINE
White Sewing Machine Company, Cleveland, OH
Serial # FR 3,182,744made in 1924
This machine started life as a treadle and was electrifiedafter 1927. Most of these machine were converted back in the 1940\'s due to the war effort.
The machine head has been cleaned and oiled.
Motor No 246952, 110 volts, Up to 75 cycles. It has beentested and motor runs smoothly but it is arcing and will need servicing.
The original foot controller is included. It had been cut away from machine years agoand will need to be rewired, it could not be tested. Therefore withoutcontroller, I could not sew with the machine to test stitch or tensions.
Originally in a cabinet, the machine does need to be putback in a cabinet or custom base for sewing. It is not portable!
It would be ideal to remove the motor andrestore as a Treadle Sewing Machine!
