I have for sale a spectacular Orpheum #1 tenor banjo. It has an incredibly-rare original, matching resonator...just impossible to find.
This instrument was restored by an expert in Austin, Texas. I bought it thinking I\'d really like to learn to play a tenor...I\'m a guitarist. Turns out I just plain do not have time, but it sounds awesome on \"San Francisco Bay Blues.\" I searched for this banjo for more than a year!
This banjo has a three-piece neck, which is dead straight. The fretboard is beautiful, dark rosewood, and the frets show little to no wear. As you can see from the photos, the peg head and fretboard inlays are in near-new condition. This banjo is loud, proud and knock out gorgeous. Just too much for me to have around as a wall-hanger...sure looks nice in my living room, though.
The instrument has been updated with a vintage set of Grovers, a newer armrest. Farquhar bridge, new Remo Renaissance head.
Comes with its original hard shell case in good condition. This instrument needs to go to a good home.
