For your viewing pleasure we have an original Federal Guaranteed Enamelware print ad by Federal Enameling & Stamping Co. of Pittsburgh, PA from a vintage 1933 edition of Home & Field.  Guaranteed original and delivered with a very strong message.

\"It\'s Beautiful...It\'s Chip-proof...It\'s Stainless\"   \"Guaranteed To Last A Lifetime\"

This was a hot item back in its day and the message here is solid, backed up by a product that was very solid and ahead of the curve.

This was a half-page print ad measuring about 4.75\" wide by 12.50\" high.  No trimming on this one and I will send the full page.  It\'s in excellent condition.

I look at print ads as pieces of art (this might be an exception).  It may not be in the traditional sense of how we think of art, but someone had to draw it or do the photography and write the copy.  We weren\'t supposed to just admire the work.  It was designed to help us spend our hard earned dollars on the product being advertised.  That\'s an art!

There are a few things I look for when it comes to vintage advertising.  It\'s how I evaluate and price each piece that makes its way to a listing (not every ad makes it that far).  Here\'s what I see (do you agree?):

Attributes Ex VG G Attributes Ex VG G Simplicity    X   Condition X      Elegance     X Unique       X Vibrancy     X Age  X      Message X     Rating 4.25

Scarcity is the wild card that\'s hard to measure.  Most ads only ran one time in any one particular magazine.  Even if the company was in multiple magazines you rarely see the same exact ad in another publication.  The demographics of each audience is always slightly different and the ad was directed toward that audience.

Here are the details for this Original Print Ad:

Advertiser Federal Enamelware Condition Excellent Year 1933 Publication Home & Field Theme Household  Size 4.75\" wide x 12.5\" high sell the original ad, not the item in the ad.  Kind of like clothes... you get the sweater, but not the model wearing it.  To see additional vintage ads please visit my store at  Vintage Ads and Prints.

As a collector I understand the type of service and care you might be looking for.  I\'m glad you stopped by.

Just so you know, magazines with good covers go on sale.  They are not used for ads, I don\'t like taking a good magazine apart.  If there are cover issues and the insides are still in good shape, I carefully remove the ads and articles for preservation.

PayPal and all its options should be the method of payment. I promise to ship within one day. Please try to pay within five.

Please remember that when you purchase more than one item there\'s no additional charge for shipping.

Your ad is placed on an acid free backing board and comes in a polypropylene bag which is used worldwide in museums, schools and libraries. The bags are well known for their archival, acid-free and breathing qualities.

I use filler board or soft foam/bubblewrap to help secure and protect during transit. Rigid \"Stayflat\"mailers or USPS packaging (depending on size and weight) are used for shipping. Your ad\'s last ride home is going to be a safe one. I guarantee it.

All of this might seem like over-kill, but I know what it\'s like to receive something that could have arrived in better shape.

On any purchase, Standard mail is $3.75 and Priority mail is $6.75. There areNO additional shipping chargeswhen purchasing more than one item. With multiple items I will ship either First Class, Standard or Priority depending on the size and weight of the package. Media Mail is not an option I use for shipping.I ship internationally through \'s Global Shipping Program. The regular shipping charges will apply to get the package to . From there you will be responsible for any other charges to ship to your country. will provide that information. All I want you to worry about is picking the right items for yourself. I promise to take care of the rest.

The items I present are some of the very best I have to offer. Vintage material that I\'ve enjoyed throughout my lifetime. Products that you should feel good about adding to any collection/display or providing as a gift for someone else.

Please remember we are dealing with original paper that is usually a lot more than 50 years old. I know what it feels like to be that old and I do my best to stick to the facts as I see them. I also understand what it feels like when you\'ve been mislead. At times, neither one feels very good. If you have any questions please let me know.

Issuing a return is not a problem if what you receive is not what you saw or read about. I would rather lose a sale by being clear and concise about a product than have my reputation be in question.

Unless noted, you should never see a tear or water damage within the actual body of the ad. With older items you could see tanning, yellowing or foxing (spots) due to the age of the paper, maybe some small tears on the outer edges or some light wrinkles. Anything like this is usually noted in the description.

My goal is to provide you with a product that you\'ll be happy with from here all the way to your mailbox.

With any ad, article or first edition print I will provide a Certificate of Authenticity so you will know where it originated from. As a collector I think that\'s important.

To be able to go back in time each day and pick up an old magazine or ad is something I have always enjoyed. I know when I\'m looking at a magazine or print ad that\'s 70 years old, more than likely I might be the only person in the world (at that moment in time) holding that piece of history. It makes me feel unique and this is what makes the products of many sellers and their customers unique people.

So when I say \"Unique Items for Unique People\" that\'s exactly what I mean. I will do my very best to provide the vintage products you know and also some items that are a little different from what you normally see. Give me some time to fill the store and please check back often.

I want you to remember this. I love what I\'m doing and I enjoy making customers happy. I\'m not here for a quick buck. I\'ll price things fair and you will be well taken care of.

Ron
