This is a rare Underwood Champion Model Manual Typewriter. These are usually advertised as the Underwood Champion of 1937, but according to the Underwood serial number database, this particular unit was made in 1938. This was Underwood\'s top of the line model at the time, but they did not sell or make very many of them due to the Great Depression. Underwood advertised this typewriter as setting the world speed typing record several times. It\'s an amazing piece of engineering.
This particular machine is in excellent working condition. . All the keys work. . The color selector switch works well. The tabs and margin stops all work. The rubber feet are all intact and in good condition. The platen grips the paper well. The bell dings. The carriage returns.
The typewriter is completely original. No surfaces have been repainted. No reproduction decals are used.
