1940-1950 Vintage Embroidered Hand-sewn State Bird Quilt-pink backing. This quilt belonged to my great grandmother. She began work on the embroidered birds in the late 40s and finished the quilt in the early 50s. Squares are sewn together with machine as shown in photos, all other stitches (including the tacking) are hand sewn. In good condition for a quilt that is 60-70 years old; still usable with small repairs . Please, examine photos for design and condition. I photographed all stains and tears in quilt that I saw. Embroidery colors are still vibrant and minimal discoloration to pink backing and edging. Some ragged edges at head end of quilt. The last photo shows thinning of batting. Sold as is. Approximate measurements are 88\" L 76\" W.
