1940\'s Bunch Speed Demon 20 inches long by Bunch Model Airplane Co. of Los Angles, CA. Bunch engines were built from 1936-1946. The speed demon kit was made from 1938-41. This car has been updated over the years with the original plans complete with the original Bunch .488 ignition engine, factory flywheel, 72 spoke hand laced wire wheels, Hardwood frame, Balsa wood body, original fuel tank, dual exhaust, and wired electronics. Also included are original sales ad, vintage batteries, original front wheel clutch drive, custom wire wheels, Aluminum hood, other accessories and new paint. This is an adult collectible and is untested. The Speed Demon was one of several products made by the model airplane company. After a time, the production was turned over to Danner Bunch who had a bigger model shop in Los Angles. A real promoter, Dan Bunch used his racing connections to take his scale racing models to the Indy 500 in May 1939. He had them photographed in the hands of some of the race drivers.
