Up for sale is a nice example of a mid century (1950s) wooden milk crate. Crate is marked \"Pine Grove Dairy, Portsmouth, VA\". The Pine Grove Dairy existed in the 1930s through to the early 1960s and was located off Jolliff road in the Western Branch area of Chesapeake. A crate linked to this particular dairy is very hard to find and would make a welcome addition to an any collector, beginner or otherwise or those with an appreciate for vintage Tidewater history. For some, home milk delivery was a common thing in the 1940s and 1950s but is a bygone era today. Crate is in good shape, the bottom has solid slats without cracks. Metal bracers on around the edges appear to be in good shape. Please see all photos for condition and ask any questions before buying.
