This engine was in my 1957 Corvette when I bought it. The original matching numbers engine came with the car, and had to be rebuilt. In 1980 I rebuilt the original engine and put it back in the car. So this short block has been on the engine stand since 1980. I routinely lubricate the crank shaft , lifters push rods ,pistons , and anything that moves with Ballastol. So everything moves freely. Notice the bolts on the front of the crank shaft wheel, that is how I rotate the working parts with a long steel bar. The engine stand goes with the block. I am open to offers, so don\'t be bashful. I have been asked what was stamped on thefront pad of the engine block. 0212153T56F is stamped . It means that this engine was made by the Towonda plant in June of 1956.
