1970\'s Olds Ambassador Brass Tenor Trombone 7\" Fullerton CA w Mouthpieces & case:
$80.00

Up for sale is a VGUC Olds Ambassador Trombone.
This was my personal horn for many years. I purchased it second hand in around 2005/2006 on . I played it for many years in high school and college, but the last few years its been sitting in the case in my house.
This was manufactured in Fullerton, CA.The bell is 7.25\" in diameter.
There are two numbers on the trombone, an 85 on the bell end, and a 11745 on the slide end.I was always curious about the serial number, but i imagine if you combine them to 8511745 that would date it to around late 1973, which makes sense.
The slide is smooth and there might be a few very minor dings to the body but nothing serious at all.
A few notes:The counterweight broke off a long time ago. (When i first got it.) As a result its a little bit on the front heavy side, but i got used to it just fine. That said, i wouldnt recommend it for younger players (middle school-early high school, they might not have the strength yet to hold it up for long periods of time)
Also, the slide lock is not very stable. It will hold it from gravity, but if you pull on the slide with a little bit of force it will slip past the slide lock.Again, this was already like this when i first bought it and i just got used to it and learned to be conscious and careful with the slide lock.
the plating has some obvious wear and tear but its cosmetic only. Its in essentially the same condition as when i received it, except for the counterweight which broke off shortly after i got it.
Includes 2 mouthpieces, a bach 6 1/2 AL and a 12C. (the 12c has some denting on the end, see last pic).Includes a cleaning snake, some slide grease, slide oil, and a mouthpiece cleaning stick.(Note that the clear valve oil bottle in pic 1 is not included, thats for trumpets and i removed it after realizing that.)Includes gig bag pictured. the bottom foam padding of the gig bag has collapsed it a bit from being stored upright for the last few years, but its still plenty protective for hand-held travel. If you\'re going to check it you\'ll want a hard case, obviously.
see pics for full cosmetic condition.
Will ship fedex or usps priority, whichever is cheaper / more convenient.
