1971 GE Vintage Refrigerator in Turquoise - (Fully Functional) :
$1100.00

Listed is a collectible vintage refrigerator that doubles as a reliably functional kitchen appliance.  After purchasing it I spent hours cleaning and buffing it inside and out, and after repairing the door light I\'ve been using it as my primary refrigerator with almost no headaches.

The freezer has a separate temperature control than the cabin of the icebox, which features another separately regulated compartment for butter on which one can choose between three different \'hardness\' settings - a nice touch I\'ve found myself smiling at more than once.

The shelves swivel out as pictured - another uniquely fun addition to the design that has been far more useful than I ever anticipated.

Admittedly, being an old refrigerator, I\'ve had to defrost it from time to time as the main cabinet is cooled via ventilation from a singular cooling unit located in the freezer - which, if frozen over, stops cooling the main cabinet. When this happens I\'ve found that unplugging the unit and leaving the freezer door open for an hour or two is perfectly effective and have never needed to call a professional for assistance. This is a problem that can be simply (and cheaply) solved by replacing what I\'d told is called a \'defrost regulator\', however since the problem has been of mild inconvenience to me I haven\'t gotten into it.

Refurbished units of this exact model generally sell for between $1600-$2000, however considering a scratch on one of the sides (pictured as well) it seems fair to ask for a few hundred less.

Aside from that, the aesthetic is pristine, and considering the full functionality there is hardly anything more that could be improved upon.

The color of the fridge is nothing short of beautiful and has improved the ambiance of my kitchen and living room more than any other piece of decorative furniture I own, and I\'m truly sad to see it go (I\'m only parting with it because I\'m moving across the country and can\'t afford to take it with me).

I live in Los Angeles, and local pickup would be much preferred. Although, if you are serious about the purchase but don\'t live nearby, send me a private message so we can discuss shipping/meeting somewhere in the middle.

Dimensions are 25in deep x 33.5in wide x 67in tall.
