THE STORY BEHIND THIS BIKE:
While traveling through Italy a few years back & a local we befriended told us about an old school bike shop which had just closed, but the owner was still selling various left-over stock from his home.
We got in touch & he showed us through his leftovers. This bike had been part of the ‘shop furniture’ for the best part of 20-odd years & was still not fully assembled.
It had been rolled around the shop from spot to spot over time & admired by many, but never purchased – thus some light ‘shop wear’ marks on the frame as to be expected & ‘aged decals’, but overall looks like it’s been in carbonite freeze for 20 years. So it came back to Australia with me & I went about finishing the build which included mounting of the Campagnolo Delta brakes, down tube shifters & cables, Brake leaver cables, Aero Bottle cage & pedals etc.WHY AM I SELLING THIS AMAZING PIECE OF ART?
There’s is a “bun in the oven” & the wife’s decided to adjust the formula to N-1 until enough space is regained so we can live life normally with a 2+1 household of humans. Some would say I should buy a bigger house…
