I was lucky enough to find in Provence a full box of primitive early 1800\'s olive harvest sacks made from stunning homespun and woven textile, so early and beautiful !
This sack is entirely hand sewn and carries stunning hand mendings, some awkward repairs and patches of different patterns including a beige and white ticking piece, a plain one, even funny houndstooth pattern fabric patches from the farmer\'s wife\'s garde-robe !!! All shown on my pictures. These bags with multiple navy and red stripes are not so easy to find...
The pouring spout is hand-embroidered \"J\" , the bottom is re-enforced and the top edge has two embroidered eyelets to slide a string
They have a hand seam that runs up one side and can be unstitched to get a larger piece of beautifully stripped linen, perfect for rustic French table cloth, curtain, porch or interior rug...
Laid flat,they measure approx 53\"L x 20\" wide
IDEAL FOR TIMEWORN TREASURES ADDICTS AND PRIMITIVE RUSTIC DECOR INTERIORS...
