DESCRIPTION:

UP FOR ADOPTION here is a wonderful old character baby doll. Unmarked reference shows similar doll made by \"both\" Horsman and Madame Hendren in the 1930s. I do not know the past restoration history but will try to describe him the best I can. I do believe doll has had some restoration. Measures 26\" tall being a composition flange head, composition hands with all fingers intact, composition legs with cloth mama doll body. There is a non-working crier in the back. Cloth body is in really nice condition, overall wear, scuffs, a little built in dirt throughout the composition areas but nothing too terrible. Doll has a \"delightful\" face with open and close blue tin eyes that work fine, a little wear on the eyes, retains some of the human hair eye lashes, brown single stroke brows and open mouth with \"two upper teeth\" and \"two lower teeth\". I believe the lips have been \"re-painted\". Painted molded blonde wavy hair is charming, possibly re-painted or touched up. Wears antique gown with embroidery throughout, button down the back. I notice a few small \"rips\" throughout but nothing too bad, it is quite wrinkled. There is a lovely antique bonnet with pink ribbon tie. Baby wears pantaloons, stockings and white leather shoes.
