I purchased this core bit in October of this year and used it to drill one 3\" hole through one block to install a mini-split heat pump in my garage/shop. It did its purpose very well and now I don\'t need it anymore. Comes with an MTP brand core drill bit adapter which screws into the 5/8-11 UNC female threads on the core bit and provides an SDS shank for use in SDS hammer drills. The bit may be used wet or dry, but is always used in pure rotary, not hammer-drill, mode. I paid $56 for the bit on Amazon and $32 for the SDS adapter. I searched for quite a while to find the bit and adapter with great reviews.
