Up for sale today is an old Northern Pacific locomotive vertical valve step-top steam whistle.The whistle has been painted with gold paint which can be easily removed. The construction is brass bowl with cast iron bell. No damage visible. No cracks welds, repairs, etc.All fins are present and undamaged and the valve is free and smooth. The only marks on the whistle are the casting marks on the bowl...LB 2529. See images. The whistle has fine thread boiler threads and will require an adaptor to NPT. I have several available and they can be purchased separately after the sale if you need one.This whistle is heavy and packing and shipping is likely in the $100 range.
