Dear musicians and collectors, you are offerding on a very old 4/4 violin. The neck is not original. The grafted scroll is possibly not original too. Here are the summary:
1) Fine Masterpiece; the varnish is not original. The violin is extremely old and there is not a lot of original varnish left.2) approx. 200 years old3) GOOD condition - there are absolutely no open cracks!4) A very fine EUROPEAN violin. Possibly Gagliano family.5) Ready to play. Great and powerful sound. New strings are recommended.6) Sensitive sound - dark nature. You just touch the strings and the violin starts to sing. The body is big and healthy providing a very juicy sound.The scroll is grafted. The corners inside are present!The wood is very beautiful and the purfling looks amazing.
