This item was used one season, it attaches to the return of the pool filter, it comes with the fountain attachment which sells for $40, there is a splice in the cord which I did to lengthen it, (see pic) the three wires were soldered together and covered with electrical shrink wrap and then the three wires were covered with electrical shrink wrap so this was done correctly.
