Open to International buyers!! This sale, is for a vintage 1965 Slingerland \"Sound King\" series tom-tom.

This drum has a factory date stamp of \"NOV 1 1965\" clearly stamped on the inside. There is no badge or serial number on this drum. Slingerland did not start installing name badges on tom-toms until 1966.

The shell measures 9\" deep x 13\" wide, and is made out of three plies of wood ( maple/poplar/mahogany ) . The interior is factory finished in natural maple, while the exterior is factory wrapped in Slingerland \"silver sparkle\" pearl. As you can see from my pictures, the sparkle wrap is tightly adhered to the shell, and it is beautifully preserved.

This drum is factory outfitted with twelve Slingerland \"Sound King\" lugs, two Slingerland \"stick-saver\" triple-flanged steel hoops, 12 Slingerland tension rods, a Slingerland internal muffler assembly, and a Slingerland clip-style diamond shaped tom mounting bracket. All of the chrome plated fittings are chrome plated, and as you can see from my pictures, the chrome shines like new.

The Slingerland drum company installed a snap-in drum key holder on the side of this drum. I have provided a generic drum key to snap into the holder.
