ThisVintage Swivomatic pedalis in excellent condition, and it really plays beautifully!The two-piece footboard hasjust a minor amount ofvisible wear on the sides, but the top surface is extremely clean and brightly polished.The center casting assembly isclean as a whistle, and it doesn\'t show any surface wear. All of the chrome plated parts are equally well preserved,even the centerhub assemblyisclean and free from rusting.Afactory original Rogersfluffy woolbeater is included with this sale.
This older patent-pending pre-CBS pedal uses Torrington J-65 needle bearings, which are critical for smooth, high-speed action.
In cleaning this pedal, I polished, de-burredand then re-lubricated the center rotator axle assembly. The beater rotates smoothly, and has no play.These Swivo pedals show up frequently on e-bay with worn out components and missing parts. ANOS Rogerstension spring has been installed.This pedal hasasteel chrome-platedmetal connector hub underneath the footboard (see picture), plus it comes with the original bass drum hoop mounting clamp. These parts are critical to this pedal, and are very difficult to find today.All of the parts have been cleaned and lubricated, and this pedal is good for another 50 years of service!
This is an amazing pedal, it plays as good as any modern bass drum pedal. The manual that I am including, explains all of the many functions of this pedal. You won\'t find a nicer swivo on the bay!
The cardboard box that you see in my first picture, is a reproduction of an original Rogers Swivomatic BD Pedal box, and it is not included with this sale.
