Hello my name is EMA BENNETT. I am an Israeli born artist and my Hebrew nameis NECHAMA which was given to me by mother. It means to “ comfort or console “ as I was born unexpectedly , the last of seven siblings.

I have always been involved in arts and crafts and my background is very eclectic. I have worked in many different media over the years including drawing, sketching, and painting, especially watercolors. I haveworked in polymer clay “ FEMO” and created many unique designs including pottery and jewelry.

I also have a strong interest in clothing design and have always made many of my own clothes, a talent which I have adapted and utilized in creating handmade clothes for my reborn dolls.

About five years ago, after attending a number of local and national doll shows, I became enamored with the art of Reborn Baby Dolls. Maybe it relates back to the fact that I was a nursery school teacher for infants up to age 2, for 10 years. It has become a passion for me that brings me great fulfillment. It has allowed me to use and adapt many of my previously developed skills .

I have become absorbed in learning and honing my techniques to create these reborn dolls and challenged to bring out in each doll its uniqueness and personality. My goal is to bring enjoyment to those who will “ adopt “these reborn baby dolls for from this I derive great pleasure and inspiration to continue my journey for years to come.
