For offer is an unusual and one of a kind handmade customchess set. It resembles and was likelyinspired by the iconic Austin Enterprises chess sets manufactured by Alcoa inthe early sixties. However, there was some confusion with the previous winning buyer, so I want to assert that this is not manufactured by Alcoa or designed by AustinEnterprises. I don’t know whenthisset was made, but I am guessing it was also around the early sixties. I am not sure what kind of metal was used forthe pieces, but it feels heavier than aluminum. The set is quite large. The box is 2 1/2\" x 13.75\" x 23\". The tallest piece (the king) is about 6 1/2\" tall and the shortest piece (the pawn) stands about 4\" tall. The bases of all the pieces are 1 1/2\" x 1 1/2\".They come in a custom wood case which latches for security. There is no board included. Please feel free to email me with anyquestions you may have.
