This planter sells with 8 different planter plates. The planter plates that come with it will plant sweet corn, field corn, sunflowers, buck oats, soybeans, winter peas, wheat, milo, green beans, peas, and lots and lots others. At $30 a set which is a common average price on , there is over $240 in planter plates alone. There are cheaper planters on but they don't sell with planter plates. This is a well equipped ready to go planter! The seed hoppers are in Great Shape. No holes. Only light surface rust. The planter features easy to change row spacing. 6 bolts per row. 2 on the no-til and 4 on the planter unit. It will plant from about 15 inch "narrow" to 36 inches wide. It is currently set on 30 inch row spacing. The bottom 2 point arms are also adjustable so this planter will fit practically any tractor!! It is currently set up for catagory 1 hitch pins. With the no-til and disc openers it wont plug up like runners in trashy conditions. It also has spring tensioners on the drive chains. So you won't ever have to worry about tightening the chains. And setting seed depth is easy as can be. It has a easy to change hand crank that control seed depth. The planter is so simple built, practically nothing ever breaks!!! This planter is simpler built than a john deere 71 unit planter. It is also much cheaper too! Plus with this planter, the rows float up and down so there is no "air planting" like on a ridged frame planters.
