He is mint in every way and he is absolutely adorable. He is one in the series, of which I have more, and the workmanship and detail is perfect and true to the perfection that R John Wright puts into every one of his characters. This little boy, Arthur was a limited addition from the 1990’s and only 500 dolls were produced. This beautiful R John Wright little boy has the sweetest full pouty face and is in mint perfect condition, packed with tissue inside to protect him on his way home to you. Arthur is 19\" tall and has his original RJW label sewn into the back of his shirt and paper hang tag attached to his shirt. The tag reads R John Wright Little Brother / Little Sister Arthur 118/500 R. John Wright Dolls Inc. Cambridge, NY. The paper hang tag around his wrist has the RJW gold stenciled logo on the front and is autographed with his signature along with the name of the doll, Arthur. As with most R John Wright characters he is made of pressed felt and his coloring and painted features are perfect. He has wonderful pouty face with big brown eyes with highlight, liner around the eyes that make it appear he has fabulous brown glass eyes that are filling with tears and long painted upper lashes and chubby cheeks. He has the cutest wide up-turned pug nose with wonderful full lips and his painted brows and lashes are marvelous. He has fabulous thick rooted mohair that is a wonderful blonde color. It’s full and cut in a little boys style with full wispy bangs that frame his face perfectly. His body is perfect in every way and he has long arms and with individual fingers and the cutest pudgy legs. He is jointed at the neck, shoulders and hips and he has the cutest blush on his knees and back of his hands. He is wearing his original 2 piece little boy’s sailor suite that is outstanding and perfect in every way. It has short full short sleeves with a wide boxed collar and a slight V in front He has his blue tie that goes under the collar around to the front where it’s tied in a square shaped knot. His shirt is long to a little past the waist so it hangs just blow the top of his pants with a blue button on each side. His blue shorts are the same color as his tie with elastic around the waist. They go to just above his cubby knees with the cutest crisp crease in front. His outfit is mint in every way with maybe just a little wrinkling from being packed away for decades. He has the cutest knee high red socks that are perfect and a marvelous pair of white lace up leather shoes. He has the cutest wide rim white sailor cap that fits his head like a glove and best of all he comes with has is very own wooden sailboat. His boat has 2 sails with a rudder in back so he would be able to sit by the pond and float his boat all day long. His original box is outstanding with ties inside to hold Arthur in place and the paper label on the end of the box is perfect and reads the same as his tags - The tag reads R John Wright Little Brother / Little Sister Arthur 118/500 R.
