This is a very early and rare Masonic Civil War Era Sword with Carved Bone Handle and Ornate Engravings and Designs on the Scabbard and Knights Head Pommel. The Blade is signed by the maker \"M.C. Lilley & Co. Columbus Ohio USA\" The Blade is etched with the former owners name \"Louis Martin Kridel\" on one side, and Ornate Designs on the other. There is also a \"Snake Wrapped around a Cross\" on the Hilt Counter Guard; \"Snake wrapped on a cross- The Masonic brazen serpent, a symbol of the 25th Degree Masons\". The Scabbard is made of Silver and Nickel Plated Brass withApplied Designs. The Sword measures approx. 36\" long with the Scabbard. The Sword itself measures approx. 35\" long with a 28\" Blade, Overall Good Condition with a Nice Aged Patina! The Scabbard has an Ornate Victorian Bottom Tip.
