Antique 1860 Nettleton & Raymond New England Cast Iron Hand Crank Sewing Machine:
$265.99

We are offering for sale an authentic antique New England cast iron sewing machine. This was made byNettleton and Raymond ca. 1860 and sold as \"common sense\" or \"family\" machines. The second photograph shows a picture and description of this machine in an article titledLearning to Accept the Sewing Machinefrom the Henry Ford Museum Herald Magazine 1983. I believe that this article authenticatesthat this was made by Nettleton and Raymond. I will include the magazine with the machine. This is one of the smaller onesmeasuring 7 3/4\" high by 9 1/2\" long (including knob on wheel) 5\" wide (width of wheel). It is in good used condition. Wear to the paint and some corrosion to the metal. Works. Hand crankturns and needle holder moves up and down. I am not a toy, miniature or sewing machine collector. I have purchased a collection of 37 sewing machines that I will be listing soon and I am presenting them as found. The information that I have listed about each machine comes from the internet or from books. Please ask questions that are important to your collecting criteria as I might not have covered everything that is important to you in my descriptions.

We sell mostly antique and vintage items so a certain amount of wear is expected. We describe all items accurately and we do not accept returns unless the item is grossly miss-represented. Please take the time to look at all of the close-up photographs and email us if you have any questions. We will combine shipping for items purchased as long as the items can be shipped safely together. If you win one item and are planning on offerding on any other items please do not pay for the first item you have won. Wait and when you are finished offerding we will send you a combined shipping invoice for all items you won so we can ship them together. If you pay for each item separately we will not be able to ship them together. Be sure to add me to your favorites list!
