Antique 26\" bisque swivel head on shoulder plate by Francois Gaultier, circa 1875. This French fashion doll has mauve blush above her sparkling blue glass paperweight eyes, delicately painted upper and lower lashes, finely feathered brows, a closed mouth with accent lines, and pale bisque with rosy cheeks.

The wig is human hair is over a cork pate.

This beautiful doll is marked 9 on her head, with 9 on one shoulder, FG on the other.
At some point in her life, the head was put on this antique German cloth body with elegantly sculpted above the elbow bisque arms and bisque legs. It is very charming and suits her well.

She is wearing a newer dress over an antique camisole and pantaloons. Her large ruched brim hat frames her lovely face.

No damage and no repair and is very clean from a non smoking environment...
