Offered in this sale is an antique amethyst - purple blown Bohemian art glass vase with threaded silver decoration that I believe was made by Pallme Konig or Loetz in the early 1900s. I recently acquired two estate collections, collectively with more than 100 examples of Bohemian, Scandinavian, Italian and English art glass dating from the late 1800s, early 1900s up to and including some fairly contemporary examples by now well recognized Bohemian, Austrian and Czech studio artists dating to the mid to later 1900s who\'s work was/is inspired by the techniques and styles used by their earlier predecessors. Already a number of the later artists have become recognized for the outstanding quality of their glass creations and their pieces have become coveted by a growing number of new collectors who are assembling eclectic collections mixing the early with the new. The vase offered in this sale measures roughly 5\" tall x 2 1/2\" square x 1 3/4\" across the top. There are so many different names for the shades of colors and types of applied decoration I cannot say for sure how one would accurate describe the decor on this. I will let the pictures speak for themselves and describe the best I can.The condition is excellent. There are no chips, cracks, flakes, hairlines or evidence of grinding.
