Everyone\'s got a perfect spot for one of these superb antique hand carved wood cased barometers. One of our favorite home details, really, and works in Country French or English Manor interiors, either one. Perfect for traditional homes, ski lodge or cabin decor, as well. The carved wood case is entirely hand done, artistry of the old Swiss carvers. The aneroid barometer is noted in French (Swiss French regions) and is in working order, as is the thermometer.

Very good to excellent condition for age and type. This one dates c.1880-1910, and is in a beautiful used state, warm satin finish to a lovely old wood grain. Full measurements noted on the photos. I see nothing missing, no breaks, a few very minor chips on tips of caring, perhaps. A lovely old one!

Our shipping days are Tuesday and Friday, paid items will be shipped on the first shipping day after payment is received (except when special circumstances exist). We prefer to use USPS whenever possible, and require all packages to be insured. If you prefer another method of shipment, please mention it. We charge only actual expense of shipment/insurance, except in the case of larger items which must have special wood crates built. Wood crate charge, when applicable, is a flat $35.00 in addition to actual postage & insurance charges.
