You\'re offerding on a vintage portable typewriter - the Model 3 \"Improved\" - circa 1922 based on the serial number, manufactured by the Corona Typewriter Company. First produced in 1912, the Model 3 was a very early portable, and very compact and appealing due to it\'s innovative folding design - which makes it popular today with collectors. This is a nice example - note that it is \"as is - as found\", and could perhaps use a little cleaning and restoration - that said, it seems to be in perfect working condition: all the keys work and don\'t seem to stick, carriage moves, bell dings, the three level shift bar and lock mechanism work, and it still folds up perfectly. Nice black gloss finish with white keys - some minor scratch and scuff, most notably at the front left corner (see photos) - but not bad for for age and type. Cool decal branding on the front and rear panel, and the Corona sticker is still present on the carriage return. No ribbon, but the spools are present.
Comes with its original case - although NOTE - the front lower fold-up panel is detached, but at least it\'s present, as often it\'s just plain missing. A little bumping and scuffing, but otherwise solid and would look appealing with appropriate repair. No key present. Also note, the oft-missing oil can - but not the cleaning brush - is still present inside the case. The machine is 11 1/2\" wide, 9 1/2\" front-to-back depth and about 6 1/4\" tall in open typing mode. Case is 12\" X 9 1/2\" X 4 1/2\"
Please review photos carefully to make your own determination of overall condition and appeal, and don\'t hesitate to ask any questions prior to offerding - thanks for looking!
