Antique Chatelaine Money Purse
A beautiful little antique money bag, Dutch export silver frame with original crewelwork pouch. Finesilverwork, ornate and detailed repousse harbor and farm scenes, gargoyle head clasp. Hangs from a chatelaine belt hook (lost hand chain), engravedmonogram ARC(?) on frame back. Hallmarked with Dutch sword and lion marks, and indicated as export. Beautiful but worn original embroidered pouch. A lovely purse for the collector.
Beautiful, with signs of age; original crewelwork cover is frayed, tattered, missing much of the embroidery. Inner leather lining is brittle and aged. Hand chain missing (due to broken bail).5 7/8\" high, 3 1/2\" across.
