From end of handle to end of handle 7\". Each opening is 1\". From end of opening to end of other opening is 4 1/2\". The threads on it look and feel good. I was told they are brass. There is a lot of green on it. I tried polishing a section of it with Brasso and it cleaned up well. It looks silver. I guess it is silver over brass.
