Here is an antique chess set (the 32 pieces only) displaying Middle Eastern figurines (the knights are camels and the Queen's dress is in the Holy Land style). It is from the first half of the 1900's, used, and it has been restored at some point, with the addition of clean dark green felt tips under each piece (photo 12). This set is displayed in "The Illustrated Guide to World Chess Sets" by Victor Keats, 1985, pages 194, 5,6,7.
Each piece has been individually hand-sculpted, which implies that they are all different. No cookie-cutter uniformity here. The largest pieces are over 5" tall and the set is heavy: Over 6 Lbs for the 32 pieces. The expressions on the faces and the body details differ. Each piece is unique.
Here are the sizes of the pieces.Sometimes, the size differs for the same piece in dark or light, even between the 2 or 8 figurines in the same color, so indicated sizes are approximate:

The condition is very good. Due to the age of the pieces and the use of natural olive tree wood painted with nut juice, there are light variations in the coloring and occasional light wear of a few pieces. This is a Museum Quality set.
I include free of charge a separate aesthetically compatible wooden board, which is not part of the set and is rather faded.
