One of the longest and most highly desirable master carving knives you\'ll find in this size with a 17\" blade. Overall length is approximately 23\" including the ebony handle, 6-pinned to the full tang.
The carbon steel blade is full and undamaged, and sharp. The knife is beautifully balanced in your hand with a very comfortable genuine ebony handle, warm to the touch, riveted to the full tang which is tapered.
Surface scratches and some darkening to blade consistent with vintage that do not interfere with use. No chips or cracks, no loosening to blade or handle. Ebony handle is great - just some small surface scratches/ scuffs from years of use (see images.) Also referred to as a kebab knife, a baker\'s sheet cake knife or as a master carver. It is especially desirable for use in carving meats, the larger the better. Use this at your next pig roast or for serving prime rib from a carving station. Bakers also prize knives like this for use in creating, cutting and frosting sheet cakes. It\'s length permits the user to slice right through the middle of any sheet or for frosting a large sheet.
