An unusual and rare find. I collect religious and funeral home items, very hard decision to part with I will never find another. A wooden bottom stand and a red velvet felt like material covering the top part. I am not an expert but believe that the top area is silver-used a silver testing kit and the color came out brown, the other areas are gold plated. Late 1800\'s. On the back where the top is connected I believe that to be brass. Measures 50\" tall, 1\" wide x19-1/2\" tall (the top part)The wood base measures 12\"x12\"x12\". There is also a little shelf area on the top.The shelf protrudes 2\".;On the sides the slots are wood, this is where you would place your monetary token to the bereaved family.
