Up for sale is an original antique cast iron still bank:The Young Negro Bank.
I was told by an antique dealerthis bank is it was made in England c.1930\'s. Moores Penny Bank #170. I checked online and saw one other that said the same thing.
This is one of 5 banks I got from the estate of a man who passed away. He had these in his garage, probably for a long time. His daughter remembers them from when she was a child.
This bankis invery good gently condition. As far as I can tell, nothing broken or missing. Some scuffs, dirt, wear on it. The back unscrews to empty it.
This is how I got it, will leave the cleaning to the experts.
I have not tried to clean it or haven\'t tried to open it, I wouldn\'twant topossibly risk ruining or breakingit.
Measures4 1/8\" tall,3 3/8\" wide, 3\" deep.
A rare piece of american history, great black americana collectible.
