ANTIQUE POCKET BAROMETER MADE BY JULES RICHARD PARIS
This is a rare Barometer Altimeter made by well known scientific instruments maker Jules Richard Paris. The barometer scale goes from 46-80 torr or mm/gh and the altimeter scale ranges from zero to 4500m adjusted by knob.
The body of the device is made from chromed brass with minimal wear and tear due to the age. The barometer face has a few spots of oxidation. The whole device comes in a well fitted wood and leather case in excellent condition.
What makes this altimeter rare is the high altitude range of the dial which is very hard to find for such a small device.
The device is still showing differences in the barometric pressure and altitude variation.
