ANTIQUE PRIMITIVE WABASH SCREEN DOOR CO., MINNIAPOLIS MN., STOVE FIRE BOARD...WOOD AND TIN

FROM THE LATE 1800\'s

 Antique stove board made by Wabash Screen Door Co. Minneapolis, Minn

 These boards were placed under wood stoves, metal side up,  so ash and hot embers from the stove would not fall on a wooden floor and burn the house down.

 This board is approximately 30\" x 30\". Covered in metal/tin on one side, the other side wooden and stamped from the original manufacturer. The tin side shows signs of use and should be cleaned. I have done nothing to this item, it is in \"as found\" condition. 

  This weighs over 9 lbs and will be around 11lbs when ready to ship. 

THIS IS A PERFECT PIECE OF HISTORY TO HANG ABOVE YOUR FIREPLACE OR PLACE AS A WORK OF ART ON YOUR WALL! 

These are very rare to find in this condition.

WOOD IS SO OLD, YET IN GREAT CONDITION FOR ITS AGE OF LATE 1800\'s.

TRIMMED IN METAL/TIN

It has a great patina and perfect amount of wear and tear.

There are discolorations, scratches, scuffs, mars, marks and dents and dings. 

There is generalized rusting of the tin. 

ABOUT A 3\" piece of the tin wrap broken off ON left upper side of board facing graphic. 

Its such a great piece and i have no where to hang it. Does not fit my decor and i have no fireplace!! :-(

This is just a wonderful find and a fabulous advertising decor piece!

It would look great hanging on the wall.
