This is a long wooden walking/hiking stick with a long unusual rolled gold knob/handle with a tan shaft (I am not sure what the material is; usually this area is mother of pearl) dating from the early 1900s. The rolled gold knob has multiple abstract designs including circles, lines and columns. The top of the knob is convex & smooth without initials and with equidistant linear designs on the edges. There is a gold band with designs at the lower end of the tan shaft. The knob/handle is 5 1/2 inches top to bottom and 1 3/4 inches at the widest while the long wooden shaft which is hardwood birch (a replacement & not original) plus knob is 44 inches long, 5/8 inches in diameter and about 2 inches in circumference and is capped with a black tip protector. The sticks color is medium/darkish brown and there is a medium gloss finish. The stick is fairly sturdy – but I would use it with care if I were a large/heavy/tall person or in the rugged back-country.
