Lovely antique Victorian two piece dress in a dark blue, almost purple, silk satin.  Simple bodice top with dramatic gigot sleeves-- wide at the shoulder and fitted from elbow to wrist with floral black Chantilly lace ornament at cuffs.  Prim pleats extending down front, securing inside with metal hook and eye clasp closures.  Lined inside in brown raw silk with boned support.  

Skirt composed of same dark blue satin with raw silk lining.  Three rows of gathered ruffle ornament extending around bottom of skirt.  Secures with clasp closures at back. 

Some wear and tearing in silk as photographed.  Wear especially under armpits and along bottom half of sleeves.  Appears to have had buttons down bodice at one pointF no longer present.  Not all closures are present or fully secure.  Please see photos for condition and details and message with any questions.
