ANTIQUE WIRE ILLUSTRATED: IDENTIFY 648 ILLUSTRATIONS, Softcover, 1978, 50 pages:
$24.00

\"Antique Wire Illustrated\" is subtitled \"Identify Your barb Wire 648 Illustrations\" and published by Antique Wire Sales Inc. of Chandler, Oklahoma. No author or date is listed. However, the inscription on the title page leads me to believe it was published in 1978 or earlier. There is a discrepancy in the number of illustrations. The subtitle says 648 illustrations but the last one on page 50 is numbered 647. Not a big deal, I guess. The introduction states, \"Wire had great impact on the West, and men such as Joseph Glidden and Michael Kelly are responsible. These men were looking for something to adequately hold livestock when rocks, brush, rails, or other natural fence materials could not be found...Collecting antique barbed wire is not only interesting, but can be a profitable and rewarding adventure for any age group.\" The pictures above show the front and back cover and nine pages from the book at 10 page intervals. The book is a paperback with no ISBN, measures 5 1/2 by 8 3/4 by 1/8 inches and is 50 pages long. It was originally listed on for $30.
It is from the library of the Inland Empire Railway Historical Society / Inland Northwest Rail Museum, a non-profit in Reardan, Washington, who will receive all proceeds from this sale. Free USPS media-mail shipping and tracking in the U.S. is include.
