WOW!!! HERE IS AN ANTIQUE TRENCH ART BULLET KNIFE LETTER OPENER.

FROM WWI

MADE FROM TWO METALS---THE HANDLE IS HEAVY -A MAGNET STICKS TO IT.

THE MARKING IS 3 LINES DECLINING IN SIZE ON THE BALL OF THE HANDLE.

THE OTHER METAL IS A GOLD COLOR AND HAS A FANCY SHAPE TO IT.

NOT SURE WHAT THE GOLD METAL IS - A MAGNET DOES NOT STICK TO IT.

THE BLADE IS NOT SHARP BUT THE POINT IS.

ALSO HAS A POINTED DESIGN ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE BLADE THAT COULD RIP SOMETHING.

PROBABLY TOO BIG FOR A LETTER OPENER UNLESS IT WAS A BIG ENVELOPE.

COULD USE AS A CAKE CUTTER.

VERY OLD ANTIQUE IN GREAT PRIMITIVE ANTIQUE CONDITION.

This piece is being released from the Beatrice Meredith collection. (1920-2009) Ms. Meredith was a very popular, prominent antique dealer, as well as a collector in the Midwest. She did private sales to the very elite as well as doing exclusive shows. She traveled the world, always researching and purchasing rare antiques. Other interests included bird, and perennial gardening. She was the recipient of the Mayor\'s, City of Milwaukee Beautification Award. Her beautiful and rare antiques were always in demand.
