Excellent condition British artillery officers dress visored cap in the original metal storage container. The cap and the container are both from Alkit, and the can is labeled \"Alkit, Naval, Military, R.A.F. and Sporting Outfitters, Cambridge Circus, W.C.2.\" The cap is also tagged as having been manufactured by Alkit. The exterior of the container is named to: \"G.L. Kennedy, R.E.M.E.\" There is a size tag inside, stating that the size is: 7. Excellent quality throughout. I do not see any insect damage to the exterior, and should there be such damage it is not visible. The sweatband appears to be securely fastened with all of the stitching still intact, and appears to pliable and in excellent plus condition, overall. There is a belt with a double-buckle that will be included with the purchase of the cap. Other than the manufacturers or suppliers identification in the interior crown, I do not see any other markings inside, or behind the sweatband. I suggest that all of the photographs be studied closely, and you form your own opinion as to the condition of the cap. There were three other caps that were obtained at the same time, but they are identified to a different officer. They have been listed separately but simultaneously as this cap.
