Astatic D-104 Classic Desk Mic - TUG-9 Stand in excellent condition :
$66.00

I bought this D-104 pre-amplified \"Chicken Choker\" microphone to go with my Kenwood 1980\'s H.F. radio with a 4 pin connector (It\'s wired right now for a 4 pin Kenwood transceiver, but it can be wired to fit most any radio). I purchased it from a ham who re-furbishes them inside and out. He tests the output of the crystal element, re-solders connections, cleans all contacts and even removes dents in the foil around the element. This microphone gets nothing but excellent audio reports. The pre-amp is adjusted on the bottom and needs to be tested by trial and error for where to set it. It\'s recessed so it will stay where you put it. Just a regular screwdriver will do the job. Watch out. If it is set too high it will knock the socks off of your listeners. The pre-amplifier uses a regular 9 volt battery. Not only has this microphone been working great for me, it is also beautiful. I tried to capture the new paint job on the base. The HAM who did the restoration matched the Astatic pitted silver grey. The rest of the mic, as you can see in the pictures, is polished to a mirror finish. This is a microphone that you would be proud to display at your station. I am selling it only because I have bought an ICOM radio that won\'t match the impedance of the D-104 with the amplifier. If you don\'t have a 4 pin radio, here is a link to a D-104 wiring handbook for almost any radio.-- am listing this at an absurdly low price. Thanks for taking a look.
As is the norm with older electronic components where anything can happen in shipping, and in the age of component swapping, I am selling this microphone AS-IS with no returns and no refunds. Shipping is FREE in the lower 48.
