Braintan Indian Moccasins

This is an awesome pair of vintage braintan beaded moccasins. They likely date from the mid 1900s sometime. They are thread sewn braintan hide. The hide is thicker than deer, so likely elk or moose hide. I don\'t see any bead loss or damage, though by the wear on the bottom shown in the pictures, you can see they were well used. There are no holes or repairs that I can see. There are a few minor stains here and there which is to be expected. These were stored in a large ziplock bag flat, so the fringe around the ankles is a little bent. I stuffed the moccasins with paper towels for the pictures and will ship them that way because they display well like this. If you want to use them for display, you could hide the paper towels with a little colored felt or wool. They actually feel to me like they could still be worn, but do that at your own risk.The soles measure approximately 10 3/4 inches long and approximately 4 inches wide at the ball of the foot.
