A Realborn® is a Real Baby Replica, created directly from computer photometric scans of a precious real newborn baby. The beauty, innocence and soul of the newborn child is captured like never before in these stunning, heaven sent creations-- the most beautiful and perfect canvas ever offered to the reborn world!
Virtually every sweet baby fold, wrinkle and crease of the head, ears, eyes, nose, fingers, feet, and toes are captured with this technology. Then small details are carefully checked to assure the detail will transfer over beautifully into the vinyl. Then a 3D prototype print is created using one of the highest resolution 3D printers on the market today. From the 3d prototype print, the molds for the most perfect reborn artists\' canvas (the Realborn® vinyl doll parts) are created.
Our Realborns come with hand signed and numbered certificates, signed by our master artist, Denise Pratt. This certificate has a picture of the real baby and actual footprints, created from the scans of the real baby, as well as a place for you to sign your own artist/nursery name and write birth details about your baby (weight, length, etc).
BABY PRESLEY has been reborn with many fine layers of Genesis Heat Set paints, gently blushed and painted with lots of very subtle motteling. It is hard to see the detail in photos but I strive to pay close attention to veining and natural details of a real baby.
Each baby is different and the thin layers of paints I use vary depending on the baby\'s base skin color and what hair color I am going to give her or him, so no two are alike. BABY PRESLEY has a couple of stork bites and spots just like a newborn has. She has been shaded with thin purples for a look of translucent skin.The final step of my process includes a light finish step called baby dew that gives a more real texture to the skin.
BABY PRESLEY has the new jointed doe suede body made just for her with the gathered front and gathered little bottom. Her limbs are filled with fine glass beads and attached with zip ties. Her body has been given that cuddly newborn feel with premium non clumping polyfill and a body pouch of larger glass beads.
Her sweet finger and toe nails have been delicately tipped and sealed with a perfect baby manicure.
BABY PRESLEY is such a very cuddly baby. She has a neck ring so her head will turn easily and her head is attached with a fine plastic zip tie. All her limbs have plugs so her weighting material will stay secure. BABY NELE\'s head is weighted toward the back so you will need to support her head just like a real baby.

I have given BABY PRESLEY a baby fine wavy head of hair with the sweet newborn blonde from Angora Mohtique. This is a premium mohair. The hair is so much like a newborns and styles so great. I have it styled wavy but it can be restyled with a gentle mist and a fine tooth comb. I also like Silken Child de tangler for styling mohair, NEVER use hairspray. It is sealed inside with gem tac.Her hair was rooted with a fine 43 gauge felting needle.
Her sweet blue eyes are glass and also have hand applied soft blonde eyelashes that have been glazed.
BABY PRESLEY has 3/4 arms and legs.
If cared for lovingly, she should be enjoyed for many generations. I would not recommend my reborn babies for children under the age of eleven or twelve, they are considered a treasured work of art. But my 14 and 16 year old granddaughters love their reborns and take very good care of them. So use your judgement when purchasing for a child. Each child is different. My babies are made with love to be held and loved ! But remember they are a hand made work of art , they are not meant to be carried by one arm and mohair is fragile. I always advise if buying for a young person painted hair is a great option. The best rule of thumb is they should be handled the way you would hold a real newborn. They are not toys.
I put my heart and soul into each reborn. I concentrate on every detail. Doing alot of research on details of a real baby\'s skin. I have even been known to study the hairlines of babies in stores ! I know crazy. But my goal is not to paint a pretty doll for you but to bring a baby to life. I paint many thin layers to get those subtle skin variations.
