This bear trap setting clamp is 15\" long at its shortest setting. It unwinds to 4 1/4\" longer. The second part of the clamp resembles a horse shoe and is 3 1/4\" wide by 5\" long. This is made to set a #6, #5, #15 or #16 bear trap. It would probably also work on a #4 1/2 wolf trap. This would make a nice addition to display by your bear trap to illustrate the tool that was used to set one. You could also pass it around to get people to guess what it is.
This screws in and out. It has some surface rust but is solid.
