Here is a very fine early Stick Barometer made by J. Testi, Saffron Hill, England. According to what is probably the most authoritative source \"Barometer Makers and Retailers 1660-1900\" by EdwinBanfield, J. Testi manufactured barometers between c. 1795-1810. It has a glazed door which opens over a silvered scale which also has a thermometer. There is inlaid wood design down each side. The coloring in the thermometer, if there was any, has largely faded although there is enough so you can still make out the temperature. I haven\'t seen any others of this age in this good condition.
