This is a 4 string Mountain Dulcimer by David Honea, builtin theteardrop design.
This instrument was handcrafted in my shop in White, Georgia.
I have built overfive hundred Dulcimers over the last many years.
Each of my instruments havea hand rubbedcoat ofspecial oil and is buffed to a silky satinfinish. They are signed,dated and numberedon the inside and can be viewed through the soundhole.
The sides are Walnut.
The head is Walnut.
The tail piece is Cherry.
The fret board isWalnut andCherrywithMapleposition dots.
The soundboardisbook-matchedSpanish Cedar.
The back is figured Pecan.
This instrument is made of allsolid wood----no plywood or laminated wood. The sides have been steam bent.

Instrument measures 6-1/2\" at the widest point. 2\" thick. The vibratingstring length (VSL)is 27-1/2\" from nut to bridge. Overall length is 34-1/4\". It also has 6-1/2 and 13-1/2 fret.
It is tuned to D A A A.
