This is a 2001 Bianchi Boron XL built with a Shimano Ultegra Drivetrain and very nice components. The Fork is a Full Carbon Bianchi XL. The bike sports a terrific set of Rolf Vector Comp 700c Wheels as well. This is aReparto Corse built bike, Bianchi\'s last gasp at high-end racing steel frames. The XL Boron frame ride very nicely, and are pretty light for steel.
The XL Boron is the lightest steel frame Bianchi ever made.
The bike looks good overall. It has a really awesome paint scheme. The frame has some minor scratches here and there. The top-tube has two small dings in it. I have photographed them. They areminor anddefinitely not anissue.View the pictures and enlarge them by double clicking, they are part of the description as well. You will get a real good idea of the general cosmetic condition.
The bike had adjustments and a detail before it was listed.
This is a size 63 cm. It measures63 cm from the center of the BB to the top of the seat collar. The effectivetop tube is59.3 cm. The stand over height is33.75 inches measured over the center of the top-tube.
The charts on this page will help you with to measure your inseam:
Your inseam is the distance from the floor to your crotch. It is easy to measure and this method works for both males and females:
A) With your shoes off, stand with your back against the wall, and you feet shoulder width apart.
B) Place a large book between your legs, with its spine firmly up against your crotch.
C) Measure from the floor to the spine of the book.
D) Write down the length in inches (in) or centimeters (cm). The bike size calculators above allow you to use either form of measurement.
As a general sizing rule, when you compare your inseam to the stand-over height there should be at least 1\" of clearance and no more than 3\" for a road bike, and 2-4 inches for a mountain bike although some individuals do prefer to have 3-5 inches of clearance for off road mountain bikes for more control. The saddle is adjustable.
